Visiting Huntly Nordic & Outdoor Centre during COVID 19

For the safety of both customers and staff, we have had to make some changes to how we operate.

Additionally from 26th December when Aberdeenshire moves into Covid Protection Level 4 with the rest of mainland Scotland, the following Scottish Government advice takes effect:

  • Participants of any age who are resident in Aberdeenshire can take part in organised sport, physical activity, training and competition at Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre. i.e.Those living in a Level 4 area should only travel locally (within their own local government area) to take part in organised sport or physical activity.

  • People living in Level 4 areas should only travel out with their local government area (up to 5 miles) to take part in informal exercise such as walking, cycling or running that starts and finishes at the same place. Such activity should follow Scottish Government ‘meeting others outdoors’ guidance.

  • Existing bookings which may be affected by these protection levels will be contacted by LLA staff. No personal, security or bank details will be asked for.

All activities must now be booked online via the Live Life Aberdeenshire website but help is available  on 01466 794428 or by emailing

If you are not already a Live Life member, you must register (for free and to help with track and trace) to get log in details to use at the point of booking.

Registration and the booking system can be accessed at this link: Click HERE

The centre is open for activities but there is no public access to any of the buildings except for toilet use by booked customers during their session.

Customers entering the building to use the toilets are requested to wear a face covering and sanitise their hands.

The changing rooms and tearoom are closed.

We are sorry but cannot look after personal items.

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your session is due to begin and wait in one of the designated waiting areas in front of the Main Building. We also ask that you leave promptly at the end of the session to minimise contact between groups.

All equipment used by the public i.e tubes, skis, poles, boots is cleaned and sanitised at the end of each session and quarantined.

Customers for tubing, roller skiing and cycle hire are asked to provide their own helmets if at all possble.

Helmets are not needed for cross country ski sessions.

We look forward to welcoming you to Huntly Nordic & Outdoor Centre and ask for your patience and cooperation while we settle into a new system of delivering outdoor activities safely.

If you have any questions, you can call us on 01466794428, email us at or use the contact form.
