Ski Lodge, Hill of Haugh, Huntly, AB54 4SH

Where it all started

Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre is Britain's only purpose-built all-weather facility for cross-country skiing and roller skiing, providing tuition at all levels from novice up to recreational skiers. The facility is run by Aberdeenshire Council and was upgraded by a grant from the Big Lottery in 2004.
Parking & access

Parking can be found in the Deveron Park with the Centre only being a 3-minute walk away. We kindly ask that only staff, deliveries and disabled visitors are allowed vehicular access up to the Centre.
When snow comes

When there is good snow cover, skis are available to hire by the day and can be used on the high-level forest trails in the Clashindarroch Forest which is just 13 miles from the centre. When we have no snow you can still cross country ski on the all-weather track, go tubing on our downhill slope, or hire a bike for the day to explore the local roads and forests.

Facilities

The Centre has disabled access which leads you to a public room next to the tea shop, a ski hire area, toilets and changing rooms with showers. There's a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities too.

Huntly Nordic & Outdoor Centre is a wooden lodge in a delightful setting with 400m of all-weather cross country skiing matting, 30m x 6m downhill slope and 800m of a tarmac roller ski track.
